The Hot-Dip Galvanized Square Steel Tube has a square hollow section that combines four-sided structural support with a relatively low material weight. The tube is first cold-formed and high-frequency welded, then processed through surface preparation and hot-dip galvanizing.
Unlike a black square tube that requires a separate corrosion-protection system, the galvanized tube has a zinc coating over the finished steel surface. This makes it suitable for outdoor structures, humid working environments, construction projects, and applications where regular repainting would increase maintenance work.
Rongheng supplies Q235B and Q355B grades, with common square sections from 20×20 mm to 200×200 mm and wall thicknesses from 1.0 to 6.0 mm. Fixed lengths, custom dimensions, and secondary processing can be arranged according to fabrication drawings or project requirements.

The production sequence is controlled from steel preparation through finished-product inspection:
Steel coil inspection → cold forming → high-frequency welding → weld bead removal → sizing and straightening → fixed-length cutting → surface pretreatment → hot-dip galvanizing → cooling and finishing → zinc coating inspection → final quality inspection → protective packaging
Forming and welding establish the required square section and dimensional accuracy before galvanizing. During hot-dip galvanizing, the prepared steel tube is immersed in molten zinc so that the exposed steel surface receives a metallurgically bonded zinc coating.
For engineering orders, zinc coating requirements should be confirmed together with the applicable standard, section size, steel grade, and environmental conditions rather than selecting a coating level only by nominal weight.
Hot-dip galvanizing is particularly useful when a square tube will be exposed to rain, humidity, condensation, or outdoor air. The zinc coating acts as a barrier between the steel substrate and the surrounding environment, while zinc also provides sacrificial protection when the coating is locally damaged.
For ordinary outdoor applications, standard galvanizing may be sufficient. Coastal, high-humidity, chemical, wastewater, and other corrosive environments normally require a higher coating specification and should be evaluated according to the actual exposure conditions.
The source range for this product is 40–275 g/m², with thicker galvanizing available for projects requiring higher corrosion resistance.
Q235B is suitable for many conventional frames, guardrails, supports, equipment structures, and general construction applications where standard structural strength is sufficient.
Q355B is a higher-strength option for heavier structures, larger sections, high-load frames, large-span applications, and projects where structural calculations call for higher yield strength.
The correct grade should be selected together with section size, wall thickness, span, connection method, wind or snow load, and the project design. Increasing the steel grade does not automatically replace the need for adequate section dimensions.
The appropriate section depends mainly on the load, span, connection design, and installation environment.
Smaller sections such as 20×20, 25×25, 30×30, and 40×40 mm are commonly used for light frames, guardrails, furniture structures, equipment supports, and fabrication components.
Medium sections such as 50×50, 60×60, 80×80, and 100×100 mm are suitable for structural frames, support systems, warehouse structures, agricultural structures, and outdoor fabrication.
Larger sections from 120×120 to 200×200 mm are generally selected for heavier structural members, large support frames, equipment bases, and applications requiring greater section capacity.
Wall thickness from 1.0 to 6.0 mm can be selected according to the calculated load and connection requirements. A thicker wall may be necessary where welding, bolting, impact, concentrated loading, or long-term outdoor service is involved.

Hot dip galvanized square tubes are used for structural frames, support members, building components, warehouse structures, curtain wall subframes, and other fabricated steel assemblies.
The square section is convenient for guardrails, barriers, fences, road infrastructure, landscape structures, outdoor equipment supports, and advertising structures. Galvanizing provides corrosion protection where the structure is exposed to weather.
Square galvanized tubes can be used in selected PV support and auxiliary structures where the section geometry, steel grade, coating requirement, and structural calculation are suitable for the project.
The regular four-sided section simplifies cutting, welding, drilling, and connection. Typical applications include machine frames, conveyor supports, agricultural machinery frames, equipment bases, and industrial support structures.
Applications include storage frames, support structures, greenhouse components, agricultural facilities, and other steel assemblies requiring corrosion protection.

Rongheng controls the product from raw material selection through finished galvanized tube inspection. Q235B and Q355B steel are selected according to the required mechanical and structural properties, while dimensional checks are performed after forming, welding, sizing, and cutting.
Particular attention is given to section dimensions, wall thickness, straightness, corner geometry, weld quality, cutting accuracy, and zinc coating condition. Finished tubes are checked for visible coating defects, exposed areas, excessive zinc buildup, dimensional deviations, and deformation before packing.
For large engineering orders, inspection can also cover chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional tolerances, zinc coating requirements, and third-party inspection according to the contract.
The square tube can be supplied as standard straight lengths or processed according to fabrication requirements. Available services include fixed-length cutting, drilling, punching, slotting, bending, end closing, and other customized operations.
For a quotation, buyers should provide the required square size, wall thickness, steel grade, length, galvanizing requirement, quantity, processing details, and applicable standard. Drawings can be used when multiple holes, cuts, bends, or connection points are required.
Pre-processing the tubes at the factory can reduce cutting and drilling work at the installation site and make batch dimensions easier to control.
Standard lengths are generally supplied at 6 m per piece, while custom lengths from 3 to 12 m can be arranged according to the order.
Rongheng maintains regular inventory for common galvanized square tube specifications and supports containerized export orders as well as larger engineering projects. Export packaging uses waterproof protection, steel-strip bundling, and protective corners to reduce movement, impact, and surface damage during handling and long-distance transportation.
For urgent orders, available stock, production schedule, processing requirements, and shipping arrangements should be confirmed together before order placement.
Hot-dip galvanizing immerses the prepared steel tube in molten zinc and generally produces a thicker, more durable coating than electro-galvanizing. It is commonly selected for outdoor and humid applications where corrosion protection is important. Electro-galvanized products are more often used where a thinner coating is sufficient.
The product range supports zinc coating requirements from 40 to 275 g/m², with the actual specification determined by the order and application. Higher coating levels are available for projects requiring additional corrosion protection.
Yes. Both Q235B and Q355B are available. Other steel grades can be discussed for projects with specific material requirements.
Yes. The standard length is 6 m, while custom fixed lengths from 3 to 12 m can be produced according to project requirements.
Yes. Cutting, bending, punching, drilling, slotting, end closing, and other processing services can be arranged. For complex fabrication, buyers can provide drawings for production confirmation.
It can be used in coastal environments, but the zinc coating should be selected according to salt exposure and expected service conditions. For severe marine or industrial corrosion, a higher galvanizing specification and, where required, an additional protective coating should be considered.
Service life depends on zinc coating, atmospheric exposure, humidity, salt concentration, industrial pollutants, and maintenance. The supplied product data indicate approximately 8–20 years under different application conditions, but actual service life should be assessed against the project environment rather than treated as a fixed guarantee.
Please provide the square section, wall thickness, steel grade, length, quantity, zinc coating requirement, processing requirements, delivery destination, and applicable standard. For structural projects, drawings or a material schedule are helpful for accurate quotation and production planning.
