Cold-Formed Steel C Sections Factory Direct Supply

Cold-Formed Steel C Sections is a cold-formed steel profile produced from hot-rolled steel strip through roll forming. The C-shaped section provides a practical structural profile for steel buildings, roof and wall framing, equipment supports, photovoltaic structures and other steel construction applications.

Rongheng supplies C80–C300 sections with thicknesses from 1.5 mm to 4.0 mm. Standard stock and customized processing are available, including cut-to-length and pre-punched holes.

Why Use a Cold-Formed Steel C Sections?

The C-shaped cross-section is suited to applications where a standardized, relatively light structural profile is required. Roll forming creates a consistent section along the length, while the available thickness range allows the profile to be specified according to the structural requirements of the project.

For installation work, pre-cutting and hole processing can also be arranged before shipment, helping reduce secondary cutting and drilling at the construction site.

Packing & Delivery

Cold Formed or Galvanized?

Consideration Cold-Formed Steel C Sections Hot-Dip Galvanized C Section
Typical Environment Dry and relatively non-corrosive indoor conditions Outdoor, humid or corrosion-exposed conditions
Surface Treatment No additional zinc coating Hot-dip galvanized after cold forming
Common Applications Indoor purlins, equipment supports, ceiling framing and enclosed warehouse structures PV structures, outdoor factories, curtain wall framing, parking shelters and external greenhouse structures
Selection Basis Consider the structural requirement and indoor environment Consider structural requirements together with the required corrosion protection

Specifications for Different Structural Requirements

C80–C120

For applications requiring smaller C sections within the available range.
C140–C180

Intermediate section range for project-specific structural framing.
C200–C240

Larger section options for applications requiring a different profile size.
C250–C300

Larger available profiles for specified structural applications.

Important: The profile size and thickness should be selected according to span, load, connection arrangement and project design requirements. The C80–C300 range should not be treated as a universal structural selection without considering the actual working conditions.

Pre-Processed for Installation

Cut-to-Length

Sections can be cut according to specified dimensions before delivery. This is useful when the required installation lengths are already defined by the project.

Pre-Punched Holes

Hole processing can be arranged before shipment according to the required installation positions.

Customized Openings

For non-standard hole dimensions or positions, processing details can be confirmed before production.

Where Cold-Formed Steel C Sections Is Used

Steel Building Purlins

Used for roof and wall framing in industrial buildings and factory structures.

Photovoltaic Structures

Used as C-shaped structural members in photovoltaic mounting and related steel structures.

Equipment Support Frames

Suitable for equipment support structures and steel framing components.

Curtain Wall Framing

Can be used as supporting members for curtain wall and building envelope structures.

Greenhouse Structures

Used for internal supporting structures or external framing according to the environment.

Parking Shelters

Galvanized versions can be specified for outdoor shelter structures where additional corrosion protection is required.

Supply and Customization

Stock Supply

Common C Section specifications are available through stock supply for projects requiring regular profiles.

Customized Production

Non-standard processing requirements can be discussed according to profile, thickness, length and hole specifications.

Project Matching

Provide span, load and installation information when specification selection needs to be matched with the project conditions.

Processing & Delivery

Cutting and hole processing can be completed before shipment to coordinate with the planned installation process.

Questions Before Ordering

What sizes of Cold-Formed Steel C Sections are available? The available profile range is C80–C300, with thicknesses from 1.5 mm to 4.0 mm.
Can you cut the sections to a specified length? Yes. Cut-to-length processing can be arranged according to the required dimensions.
Can holes be punched before shipment? Yes. Pre-punched holes and customized hole positions can be processed according to the confirmed installation requirements.
Should I choose cold formed or galvanized material? The choice depends mainly on the installation environment and corrosion-protection requirements. Cold formed sections can be used in relatively dry indoor conditions, while hot-dip galvanized sections can be considered where additional protection is required.
What information is needed for a customized quotation? Please provide the C section size, thickness, required length, quantity, hole dimensions and positions, surface treatment and other processing requirements. For structural applications, span and load information can also be provided.

Galvanized C Purlin

Galvanized C Purlin

Galvanized C Purlin is a cold-formed steel section for outdoor and corrosive environments where uncoated C purlins require frequent maintenance. The profile is roll formed, cut and punched before overall hot-dip galvanizing, giving the finished section a zinc coating on its surfaces, corners and processed areas. Q235B and Q355B are available in C80–C300 sections with 0.8–3.0 mm wall thickness. Typical applications include photovoltaic projects, factory roofs, coastal structures, livestock buildings, chemical plants, wastewater facilities and outdoor equipment supports.
Cold-Formed C Section Steel

Cold-Formed C Section Steel

Cold-Formed C Section Steel is a lightweight structural section produced by continuously roll forming steel strip at room temperature. Compared with conventional hot-rolled channel sections, its section dimensions, flange geometry, and length can be controlled more precisely while using thinner steel where the structural design permits. Q235B and Q355B grades are available in C80–C300 sections with 0.8–3.0 mm wall thickness. It is commonly used for purlins, wall framing, indoor mezzanines, equipment supports, partitions, and other light steel structures.
